We were walking the path that leads to the shrine when we saw Hikawa Dango, we had a Manju and a Age Manju on sight. Both very tasty, we also bought a box of 10 freshly steamed Manju to bring home as Omiyage. Nice little shop with friendly staff
Nice place to refresh, they got very tasty "Hiyashi Ame" drink and also Japanese traditional sweets such as "odango" too. Also "Kaki gori" witch can be a tasty memory of your life. Hope you will enjoy the taste of this amazing place.
On the way to Omiya park, good smell pulled me inside the shop.
There is always a long queue.
Agemanju 2pieces ¥250 Very soft, read beans paste is just right sweet.
Seaweed Dango 2sticks ¥200 sticky and chewy.
The coffee had a bit of an aftertaste. I ordered a donut-like cake filled with sugar-coated red beans. The cake was delicious. The price of the coffee and cake were both very reasonable. Sitting outside the shop admiring the view was also very enjoyable.
Great place for some sweets. Their hot sweet wine drink was awesome to have during cold winter day. ( It's not alcoholic though. Just fermented rice drink. "Amazake" in Japanese.)
You have the chance here to eat some very traditional japanese food called "dango". they are made of long cooked rice and have different flavors on them. It is perfect for a small snack.

I bought agemanju and cold amazake. My 1st time try amazake. If you can’t find a space for eat, you can bring it to the park and enjoy your food at the park bench
